After a career in journalism and then moving into advertising and PR, I relocated to the South of France in 1989. It didn’t take long for me to become involved in the yachting industry on the supply and logistics side.

Initially working with Freedom Yachting, I started instructing marine fire fighting with instructors from the National Sea Training Centre (NSTC) at North West Kent College in the UK.

I have been with Bluewater as a full-time instructor since 2006 and remains a visiting senior instructor at NSTC.
