First introduced by Bluewater in 2009, the Superyacht Chef Competition has become one of the preeminent luxury chef competitions in the competitive world of superyacht charter. Now celebrating the 3rd edition at the Yacht Club de Monaco in partnership with the yacht club’s exclusive training academy, the distinguished event promises a fun and exciting day for yacht owners, chefs and crew in the beautiful setting of the Principality.

This year’s event will see nine superyacht chefs gathered for an exciting competition. At the start of each round, three chefs will be presented with a mystery box of fresh and distinctive ingredients by Maison del Gusto yacht provisioners. With 30 minutes on the clock, the chefs must create a dish to impress and wow the esteemed jury of Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) chefs, displaying their creativity, quick-thinking and technical abilities.

The competition is fun, exciting and full of surprises - including special guests. Guests will be served complimentary beverages throughout the afternoon, and the HMS Spirits bar will be serving refreshing gin and tonics whilst you enjoy the show!

Bluewater Monaco

As well as the 2020 Superyacht Chef Competition, we are also celebrating the opening of the new Bluewater office in the Principality. Located on the beautiful Avenue d’Ostende close to Monaco’s iconic Port Hercule, the Bluewater Monaco office joins an expanding network of offices in yachting hotspots around the world, including Antibes, Fort Lauderdale, Palma de Mallorca and Moscow.

Heading up the new Monaco office is Bluewater founder, Peter Bennett, who is a key supporter of the Superyacht Chef Competition. Bennett explains what has made the competition one of the most highly anticipated yacht crew competitions in the world of luxury yacht charter. “It truly is a nail-biting competition. You can feel the pressure these chefs are under, smell the delicious aromas filling the air and gain a pretty unique insight into the creative mind of a superyacht chef.”

Bennett continues. “The chefs have their captains and fellow crew cheering them on, hoping they will be taking the winning trophy back to their yacht. It’s also a great event for yacht owners, who are often in the audience supporting their fantastic yacht chefs. We look forward to another exciting edition of the event, and most importantly, to shining a well-deserved spotlight on some of the best chefs in yachting.”
