According to the latest data from Superyacht Intelligence, there are over 5,000 yachts currently in operation of which approximately 1,400 are between 200 and 499 Gross Registered Tons (GRT), and over 530 yachts are over 500 GRT. It is in these tonnage areas that seafarers are most likely to be professionally employed onboard yachts, and potentially subject to the convention depending on how the yacht is engaged for use, when carrying guests/passengers.
The report once finalized will be made freely to all participants, and as a thank you for completing the questionnaire, the chance to register for one of three cash prizes of US $250 is provided.
