Setup & strategy
The process begins with the signing of the Central Agency (CA) agreement, officially appointing a broker to represent the yacht. Next, the yacht’s technical specifications and documentation are thoroughly reviewed and finalized to ensure accuracy and transparency. A bespoke marketing strategy is then developed, incorporating high-quality photography, online listings, and targeted outreach to qualified buyers. This foundation ensures that the yacht is positioned effectively in the market from day one.

Generating interest
Once the marketing plan is launched, it generates enquiries from prospective buyers. These leads are carefully vetted to ensure genuine interest. Private viewings are then organized, offering serious buyers an exclusive opportunity to inspect the yacht in person. This stage ensures that only well-matched and financially qualified prospects progress further in the process.

Agreement and commitment
With serious interest established, offers are submitted and negotiations begin. The aim is to reach the most favorable terms for the seller while keeping all parties aligned. Once an agreement is reached, the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) is signed, a deposit is secured, and the yacht is officially marked as “under offer”—a key milestone toward final sale.

Due diligence
The buyer now commissions a technical survey and sea trial to assess the yacht’s condition and performance. These are critical steps in verifying that the yacht meets expectations. Based on the survey results, the buyer may accept the yacht as-is or request a renegotiation. This stage ensures all concerns are addressed before finalizing the sale.

Finalization
Once all terms are agreed upon, final closing documents are signed and the balance of the purchase price is paid. Ownership is formally transferred, concluding the sale process. At this point, both parties have completed their obligations, and the buyer takes delivery of the yacht.
