BAHAMAS
All arriving travellers must submit a
health form online prior to travel.
There will be a mandatory 14-day quarantine after arriving in the Bahamas.
Travellers can stay in a hotel, private club, rented accommodation or on a private boat as long as the accommodation provides an isolated room with an adjoining bathroom. Travellers will take a PCR test at the end of their quarantine time at their own cost.
All travellers, including citizens and residents, must submit a Health Visa Application prior to arrival, and must upload
COVID-19 negative test results. The test must have been taken no more than five days prior to arrival. The only exemptions to this rule are children under the age of ten and pilots and crew members.
To answer your question succinctly; No you will not be allowed to travel to the Bahamas with an expired passport. However, I’ve read several industry and government bulletins recently that the agencies have completed a back-log of work and are now processing passports/renewals much quicker.
Regardless of whether you are definitely planning to go to the Bahamas or not, I would urge that you go online and ante up the $60.00USD to request an
Expedited Passport Renewal.
Reason being any international location requires a minimum of 3 months validity in order to enter and some even require 6 months.
