On the more populated islands you’ll find fine-dining restaurants and glittering casinos, world-class golf courses and designer boutiques; on the more remote islands you’ll find sand and sea and silence. Promising glamour, escape, and action-packed adventure, a yacht charter in the Bahamas is the best of all worlds.

If you can bear to tear yourself away from the celebrity chef restaurants, golf courses and luxury spas of Nassua, there’s a world of excitement waiting. Wildlife lovers will be in their element in the Exumas, where the outstanding marine life is elevated by surreal wildlife experiences— swimming with the swimming pigs of Big Major Island, feeding grapes to the rock iguanas on __, and petting the nurse sharks in Compass Cay. For fishing, the Abacos call your name, and these islands also offer phenomenal diving in places like Elbow Cay and the Crystal Caves. In the Grand Bahama Bank, Andros is a dream destination for blue hole diving, while Eleuthera enchants with its pink sand beach and amazing drift-diving at Current Cut. Still can’t choose? Bluewater will help you craft an itinerary that takes in as many highlights of the Bahamas as possible!
Boasting a stunning subtropical climate and balmy seas, the high season for Bahamas yacht charters falls during the winter months of December to April. In these months you can expect clear skies and maximum temperatures between the high 70’s and 80’s (25-30℃) and pleasant sea temperatures of around 79℉ (25℃). Of course, the joy of the Bahamas is that you can cruise there all year round — although the risk of hurricanes is something to consider, with the storm season peaking in August through early October. Note that given that the Bahamas stretch over 500 miles, the more northerly islands like Grand Bahama and the Abacos can be up to 5 degrees cooler in winter than the southern islands.
The Bahamas are a fishing mecca, offering an exhilarating mix of deep sea, bottom and drift fishing, as well as world-class bonefish flats. There’s excellent fishing to be had off New Providence, Grand Bahama and the Exumas, but for the very best sport fishing, you’ll want to head to the Abacos Islands, where giant game fish give you the fight of your lives. Green Turtle Cay, Treasure Cay, Walkers Cay, and Marsh Harbour are home to different species throughout the year, including white marlin, dolphin, blue marlin, blackfin, yellowfin, and wahoo. You might even be lucky enough to land a bluefin, which grow up to a phenomenal 1,000 pounds.
