RYA Yachtmaster Offshore
Theory & Practical course
This industry standard qualification offers formal training in navigation and seamanship and is a vital part of your maritime education.
The certificate involves two weeks of learning; theory in the classroom and practical on the water, followed by a final exam.
We offer the
two weeks as a discounted bundle or alternatively you can purchase each week separately.
Theory: This 6 day classroom-based course will equip you to navigate safely on coastal and offshore passages. You will become proficient in chart work, calculation of tidal heights and streams, meteorology, visual and electronic navigation and the collision avoidance rules (COLREGS).
Practical: You will spend a fun week on the water practicing boat handling, navigation and seamanship under the careful eye of our experienced instructor, onboard a 15 metre motor yacht. You will put into practice all the theory that you have previously learned and will finish the week ready for your exam.
