We know destinations

After decades of organising successful charters, our charter specialists know everything worth knowing about yachting destinations. And with new cruising grounds and marinas opening up all the time, we have made it our mission to deep-dive into every location, building local connections as we go.

We know the superyacht standard

When our charter specialists recommend an experience— whether that be a destination, a restaurant, or a local guide, we are intensely aware that that place or person must meet the superyacht standard. Our decades of experience have refined our sense of what a superyacht guest will enjoy. That’s not to say we don’t recommend the authentic or rustic experience—in fact, we know that this kind of unpolished ‘local gem’ is often the highlight of a charter— but simply that there must be something quite special about the experience. A newcomer to the market (or worse still, an online bookings bot) will not understand that distinction.

We know the industry

As a full-service agency, we are across every element of successful charter yacht operations, from crew placement and training to yacht sales, regulation, contracts and compliance. Deep industry knowledge delivers outstanding charters.

We know fun

Bluewater has always had a reputation for fun. And we lean into that. After all, what is a holiday meant to be, if not fun? With Millenials taking over the helm of yacht charter and Gen Z’s not far behind, who better to charter the course of yacht charter in the next decades, than an energetic, youthful agency that looks to the future?

We know trust matters

There are a lot of new players flooding the yacht charter market, including online booking companies powered by AI bots and self-proclaimed ‘disruptors’ who have barely ever stepped foot on a superyacht. Don’t trust your superyacht holiday to an unknown. As a long-established and highly respected player in the industry, Bluewater has accreditation to all of the major yachting associations, including MYBA, SYBA, ECPY and ISS, and we follow a strict code of ethics. The question of trust doesn’t have to cross your mind.

We know the right people

A yacht charter might look effortless, but it is a complex choreography of moving parts and people. Success depends on our great relationships with a dizzying number of people — yacht agents, port authorities, tour operators, travel agents, chauffeurs, fishermen, hotel managers, village chiefs. We fix the problems, lean on the right people, get the right local permissions and comply with the right regulations. And through it all, we show you a seamless experience.

We know crew

No-one knows crew like Bluewater. Crew is in our DNA. Our crew agency division has placed tens of thousands of crew on yachts, and our training centres have helped many more. This deep crew knowledge means we can offer our charter clients first-hand insights and crew recommendations, and we work closely with captains and crews to deliver even better guest experiences. Personal relationships really matter in the tight-knit world of yachting, and our symbiotic crew-brokerage relationships push everyone to be their best.

Any questions?
We got you.

What’s included in yacht management?

We offer both full-service management packages and modular support, depending on your needs. This can include financial administration, crew management and payroll, operational and technical support, maintenance planning, safety oversight, and 24/7 assistance for captains and crew.

Do I need yacht management if I already have a captain?

Absolutely. A great captain is essential — but even the best can’t do everything alone. Shoreside management gives your captain the breathing space to focus on running the yacht day to day, while we handle the bigger picture: compliance, payroll, budgeting, maintenance planning, and crisis response. Think of it as a partnership — one that protects both the yacht and the people onboard.

What size yachts do you manage?

We work with yachts from 30 metres to 140 metres, whether private or charter, new build or refit.

How are fees structured?

Every yacht is different, so every plan is customised. Fees are based on the yacht’s size, program, and the level of support required. We build a clear proposal so you know exactly what’s included.

How do I get started?

It begins with a conversation. We’ll arrange a meeting — online or in person — to understand your yacht’s specific needs. From there we prepare a tailored management proposal. Once terms are agreed, we complete all compliance checks (KYC and due diligence), issue onboarding documents, and conduct an onboard survey of your yacht’s systems and documentation. From that point, your yacht is fully under management — with structured support in place from day one.

Can I choose only certain services instead of full management?

Yes. Our approach is modular. Some owners want a complete turnkey package, others prefer support only in specific areas such as financial administration or crew payroll. You decide the level of involvement — and we adapt our service to your yacht.

How does Bluewater support the crew?

We manage everything from contracts and payroll to certification tracking and training. This means your crew are legally compliant, fairly treated, and well-prepared — which translates into better performance and loyalty on board.

How does Bluewater ensure my yacht stays compliant with international regulations?

We oversee all major conventions including ISM, ISPS, MLC, MARPOL, and SOLAS. In practice, that means ensuring your yacht passes inspections, your crew are trained for drills, and your environmental responsibilities are always up to standard. Owners can relax knowing that compliance is never in question.

What happens if there's and emergency while my yacht is cruising?

Our team provides 24/7 crisis management support. Whether it’s a technical fault, a medical situation, or a severe weather diversion, your captain has direct access to shore-based experts who can coordinate solutions quickly.

Where does Bluewater operate?

We support yachts worldwide, with offices in Antibes, Monaco, Palma, London, Zug, and Dubai. Whether your yacht is in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Middle East, or further afield, our global reach ensures you’re never without support.

What makes Bluewater different from other yacht management companies?

We are the only yachting company that unites all divisions in-house — management, crew placement, training, charter, sales, and refit. This synergy means your yacht benefits from a single trusted partner across every area, with consistent standards and no fragmentation of responsibility.
