THE NORWAY OF ARABIA

A Superyacht Escape into the Heart of Arabian Elegance

To explore Oman by yacht is to live inside an Arabian dream. Experience film-set cruising as you float through a searing landscape of desert fjords and vivid turquoise sea. On an Oman yacht charter, you might take a camel safari into the desert to drink tea with Bedouin tribes, wander pomegranate orchards in green mountain valleys, and float in an emerald oasis ringed by date palms. You’ll explore Omani souks and Portuguese castles, and be awestruck by the minarets and marble of the Sultan Qaboos Mosque. This is pinch yourself territory —a place where a superyacht almost looks superimposed on an ancient landscape.

Why charter in Oman

Safe, peaceful, and supremely hospitable, Oman is an incredible choice for a Middle East yacht charter. Most superyacht charters will begin in Dubai for easy access to the breathtaking Musandam Peninsula, known as the Norway of Arabia for its sunken, fjord-like valleys. This region is searingly beautiful, with rugged, bleached mountains plunging into waters of the most bewitching jade and sapphire. These biodiverse waters are teeming with life, including whale sharks, which can travel in groups of up to 15 in this region.

A launchpad for adventure

A launchpad for adventure

Cruising south, you’ll discover the wonders of Muscat, where the ancient and modern worlds collide in spectacular ways. Perched on the Omani Gulf between desert, sea and mountains, whitewashed Muscat is the ideal launchpad for adventure —whether that’s exploring the city and surrounding beaches, heading inland on desert and oasis adventures, or diving off the coast in the Dimaniyat Islands. Oman is also considered an excellent location for kiteboarding thanks to its long, flat lagoons and empty stretches of coastline.

Nature & Racing Highlights

When to charter

The best time to charter a yacht in Oman is from October to April, with moderate temperatures ranging from the low 20s to mid-30s°C (70s–80s°F). Gentle to moderate winds and excellent visibility make it perfect for cruising and diving. Time your visit for December’s Omani Heritage Festival or the vibrant Muscat Festival in January/February — both adding cultural sparkle to your charter.

Nature & Racing Highlights

Nature lovers will find September to November particularly special: it’s peak season for spotting whale sharks and witnessing turtle hatchings in October and November. Yachts also flock to the region in December, aligning with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix — a highlight on the social calendar just a short cruise away. This period blends adventure, wildlife, and elite events for a standout charter.
